Brian is going to be a wonderful dad. I just know it. And I'm not saying that because he's a big kid at heart (which we all know to be true). He has the education background - true - but even that's not what I think will make him shine as a father. I knew from our first date that he had what it takes to be the kind of leader, role model, and dreamer that I would want my kids have. He knows what kids like and what kids need, and children are naturally charmed by him. He's funny. He's always worried about whether other people are happy and comfortable. He's an excellent provider. Doesn't that sound like the makings of a good Papa?
While the baby stuff might be foreign to him (he'll be changing his first diaper ever in a few days), he's a fast learner and he loves an adventure. And what an adventure we're about to begin. I simply can't wait to share it with him.

ReplyDeleteI just heard that your precious baby is here!! It's 1 o'clock in the morning and I'm so excited I can't sleep. I decided to go to your blog site and read your thoughts the past few days. I do love what you wrote about Brian and I couldn't agree more with all of it. He (and I :) ) could say many of those wonderful attributes that Brian possesses are seen in you too! You two were definitely made for each other ---true soulmates:)
