So we’ll definitely have a July baby, but when in July will the bambino arrive? Will the baby make a grand entrance on my Mom and Dad’s anniversary? If that was the plan, the baby had better get out here quick (i.e., today. Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad)! Will it be on Mike and Nicki’s one-year anniversary? Perhaps, since that’s only one day before our due date. That’d be pretty cool, but it’s kind of far away…
And because the due date is in the middle of the month, the baby has a “choice” of astrological signs. If the birthday is before July 23, he or she will be a Cancer (The Crab) and ruled by the Moon. If the baby is born after July 23, we’ll have a little Leo (The Lion) who will be ruled by the Sun. I don’t put a whole lot of stock into astrology or anything, but in 20 years, someone’s going to use a cheesy pick-up line on my kid, and I’d like to know what the answer will be.
Anyone care to take a guess on the date? I’d love to hear what you think!

This is a tough one. As much as I want to say TODAY I am going to go with July 20th. Although, if baby Fl Fleming decides to come after the 23rd, I would love another Leo around :)
ReplyDeleteNow-why were you up at 3:30 a.m. !!! ???
Thanks for the vote, Kelly, and the reminder to check into why the time has always been wrong on the posts. I've updated the settings to show Eastern time (why the default was Pacific, I'm not sure), so posts should show the correct time from now on. I don't want you all to think that I never sleep. Well, I mean, I don't sleep, but I'm not posting at 3:30 a.m. Ha!
ReplyDeleteJuly 22nd. Sounds like a good date for a birthday to me!
ReplyDeleteMy bets are on July 13, between the hours of 12 a.m. and 4 a.m. Ha! I'm feeling very specific today. (Lisa K.)
ReplyDeleteWhile part of me thinks you'll hit your due date, give or take a day, I'm going with 7/14. It's a nice date, mathematically. You'll go to the doctor for your appointment and later that day head to the hospital.
ReplyDeleteSince your due date is July 19, and this is your first baby, and first babies are often late, I think that Baby Fleming will be born on July 23. That's a Friday, and Friday is a workday. So you will not be at work that day. Because you'll go into labor at about 5:00 in the morning, and the baby will be born at 4:23 in the afternoon. You will not make it to Happy Hour that night. But Happy Hour will take on a whole new meaning to you that day.
ReplyDeletehaha! Jenny cracks me up every time. I am going to say July 20. I WOULD say July 26 because that's a full moon, but Baby Fleming won't wait that long. So July 20th sounds fantastic to me. I want you to have it during the work week so I'll know when you don't show up one day that it's happening and I can have something to be off-task about all day!
ReplyDeleteI'm very late in posting a comment about my thoughts on your baby's birth date, but I wanted to give my two cents worth anyway:) I want you to have the baby early for your sake (and we're anxious too!), but I also feel that if he/she is going to be later than the 19th, then July 26 would be nice. That's the feast day of the Blessed Mother's parents, Sts. Joachim and Anne. If your baby is early, then July 16 would be nice since that's the feast of our Lady of Mount Carmel.
ReplyDeleteI remember when Brian was born and my dad said, "'Bruno' would be a good name for your baby since today, Oct. 6, is the feast of St. Bruno." Of course, my dad was kidding, and I really never heard of a St. Bruno either. But the name,'Brian', is close to sounding like that:)!
July 18th. As a rule, I share all notable dates in my life with other memebers of my family. And, conveniently, I will never forget the little dude's bday that way.
