Top Ten Reasons Why I Can't Wait to Meet Baby Fleming
Reason #10: Is this baby a boy or a girl?

So Brian and I had a practice run to the hospital on Monday. Everything turned out to be fine, but the nurse alluded to the fact that she wouldn't be surprised if the real thing started happening soon. The baby's heart rate was just fine throughout 30 or so minutes of monitoring, and to my surprise, the nurse saw a few contractions during this time, too. I guess that's what spurred my "any day now" attitude. Not a bad thing, right, since we're sitting here with less than 2 weeks until the due date? So I thought I'd start counting down the days with a "Top Ten" list of sorts:

While I don't regret for a second our choice to wait until the baby is here to find out the sex, I CAN'T WAIT TO FIND OUT! I've gotten to know this little person over the past months, but I don't really him or her at all! I can't even use one pronoun to tell about what's going on with the baby ("it" is not in our vocabulary). I am so looking forward to hearing those three little words, and it doesn't matter a lick to me what the last word in the sentence is. I just want to know more than, "It's a baby!"

    13 Days!!!

    I hope that everything is ok after the 'trial' run to the hospital. I think that I had two of those with Brooke. By trip #2, I think I tried to beg them to keep me (I was maybe one week shy of my due date)!!

    I love the idea of a countdown. I will be tuning into the blog daily and waiting by the phone patiently!!!

    So exciting! A practice run!! I was thinking about you yesterday...maybe I had a premonition. :) Can't wait to meet the newest Fleming family member!!

    How exciting that my grandchild will very soon be arriving! As soon as you go into labor, Brian had better call us, or else!
