Ahh, the nine-month mark. I didn't think things could get any sweeter with our little girl, but 9 months seems to be such a fun age. She's so lively, and she's as friendly as they come. Seriously, we can't go anywhere without her making a new friend. She waves and waits for the person to wave back at her. It's hilarious, and so far, she's only managed to attract people who don't mind waving back.
Stats (as of 4/20):
17 lbs, 10 oz.
27 3/4 inches long
8 teeth. That's right, 8 teeth.
Likes:
- Being outside. We put a tree swing in the front yard, and Mary Ellen loves taking afternoon swings.
- Food. Yup, she's become a good eater. She loves bananas, avocado, and all kinds of meat, including pork, chicken, turkey and ham. Just like Daddy, she loves cheese. But nothing beats her current favorite: yogurt. The kid will eat an entire container if I let her.
- Mimi. And Mimi loves her.
- Waving. She loves waving at us, at strangers, and inanimate objects. It's all good.
- Hollering. It's especially entertaining in church and in restaurants. She's got a pair of lungs all right!
- Laying still while having her diaper changed.
- When the yogurt is gone.
- When the sun shines in her eyes while she's stuck in the car.
Her hair is really starting to come in. I'm curious what color you all think it is. Some days, I think it's just brown. On others I see some definite blond. Other days, it's more of a strawberry blond. Witness her first really bad hair day.
Where was that picture of her on the balcony taken? Sooo cute! Congrats on having a mobile child. Your life will never be the same! haha!
ReplyDeleteFinally, an update! She has a lot more hair than it may seem, which makes me think it's mostly blonde. And that bad-hair picture? She's all Brian in that one :)
ReplyDeleteUncontrollable laughter from the bad hair day pic!
