Mary Ellen is 6 months old!!

She's officially a half-year old! It sounds so cliche, but the time sure has flown by. Seems like yesterday that we were just getting the surprise of our lives to learn that we had just delivered a little girl (seriously, did anyone see that coming?). Now I can't imagine having opened our home to anyone except the sweet little baby who is our Mary Ellen.

Her growth in the past month has been phenomenal. She now has two bottom teeth that she's not afraid to use. She can roll from belly to back. She can sit up with a less than 5% chance of toppling over. She is smiling and laughing and still doing quite a lot of hollering (happy hollering, that is).

Her interests include sitting up, playing in her excersacuer, hanging out with her daddy, exploring and talking to her hands, and being outside.

Her turn-offs include having her diaper changed when she is hungry and food. The list of foods that she's not interested in includes rice cereal, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, avocado, and bananas.

We're still every bit as much infatuated with her as we were 6 months ago. After the recent stretch of her not sleeping (which I'm pretty sure has corrected itself), I've definitely learned to appreciate just how good she really is.
