We knew it! We knew she's be a pretty verbal little kid, but I didn't figure to be able to make sense of her babbling just yet. But it's true - she has a "word" for cat. It's the oh-so complicated /k/ sound. (Who knew that my years of writing phonemic awareness lessons would help me in formatting a blog post?)
Either way, Brian and I had started to notice that she was making a sound for cat when mom confirmed it this week. Every time she sees one of the cats, she puts on a big ol' grin as says /k/. Every time. It's pretty awesome.
This is just the beginning, and I can't wait to hear what she has to say next.
